Lots of Everton fans have been slamming some comments made by Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl on Theo Walcott.
Speaking to talkSPORT, the Austrian claimed that the former Arsenal ace “maybe didn’t get” the “trust” at the Goodison Park faithful compared to what he has given him at St. Mary’s Stadium.
Should Everton sell Walcott?
Walcott has now played in eight games in the Premier League for the Saints since arriving on loan from Carlo Ancelotti’s team, scoring two goals and making a further two assists in the process (Transfermarkt).
However, before his move, the 31 year-old had only played in two previous matches for the Toffees in the 2020/21 term, including only 12 minutes in the top flight (Transfermarkt).
A lot of Blues supporters have taken his comments as a dig at the club and thus have reacted negatively to them.
Everton fan reaction to Hasenhuttl comments
These EFC supporters slammed the comments from Hasenhuttl on Twitter, with one fan even claiming that they were ‘disrespectful’:
Hassenhutl should probably show more respect to the club he is borrowing a player from. I'm sure if he wants to do business in the future throwing insults is not the best strategy.

Trust him that much you have taken him on loan Ralph…
maybe get looking behind the sofa and actually buy him in January

If he trusted him immediately then why not stump up the cash and buy him, instead of just a loan! What a disrespectful way to talk about a club you’ve borrowed a player from!
