Richarlison has compared Everton ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin to former Premier League superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in a quite revealing interview with FIFA.com.
Speaking to the website, the Brazil international was asked about Calvert-Lewin as a player that Carlo Ancelotti has seemingly improved, to which he claimed that the 23-year old has an incredible leap on him like Ronaldo does, and also added that he must be a nightmare to play against while being very impressed with his overall development.
Indeed, for Calvert-Lewin to be compared to Ronaldo in any sense of the matter is such high praise indeed, as the latter has had such an incredible career in the beautiful game, from winning the English top-flight title three times under Sir Alex Ferguson for Manchester United as well as winning numerous other prestigious domestic trophies, as per Transfermarkt.
Calvert-Lewin still has a long, long way to go in his footballing career to emulate what Ronaldo has achieved of course, but he has made a rather Ronaldo-esque start to the 2020/21 season so far.
The English striker has scored nine times in just six games in all competitions, including scoring a hat-trick in two separate matches, according to Transfermarkt.

Calvert-Lewin has no doubt been a key player for Carlo Ancelotti’s team, as they currently have a 100% record in England’s highest division with four wins out of four and are also in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, where they will face Ronaldo’s old side in the Red Devils at Goodison Park for a place in the semis.
