“Everton just made so many great signings this summer.

“The boy that has come in from Real Madrid – Rodriguez – unbelievable.

“He got Man of the Match last weekend and did not sprint once. I do not understand how he can do that. My God, he has just been spraying the ball all over the place.

“This season is going unbelievably for them. It is just a shame nobody can see it!”

The 29-year old scored two goals and provided one assist as the Merseyside club ran out 4-2 winners against the Seagulls to maintain their 100% start in the top flight, with four wins out of four games so far.

Not only did Rodriguez heavily contribute to the final score, but he was also the standout performer according to Sofascore with a quite impressive 9.5 overall rating, the best out of anyone on the pitch at Goodison Park.
