Many Everton fans have been erupting as some news emerged on Marcel Brands.
As per Football Insider, the Director of Football (DoF) at Goodison Park is now '90% likely' to be sacked, as a source from the Merseyside club claims that the 59-year-old is running out of senior figures among the board and management who are willing to defend his work.
He signed a new three-year deal at the Toffees back in April, but that does not look like it is going to save the Dutchman, as there seems to be a power struggle over transfers with Rafael Benitez.
Farhad Moshiri believes that the Spaniard 'needs time', so Brands could well be the first casualty at Everton, given a poor run of form which has seen them with no wins in eight matches in the Premier League.
As DoF, Brands would have had a big say in recruitment over the years, as the club spent a lot of money on transfers in the last few campaigns but have seen little success come from it, finishing no higher than seventh in the top flight since the 2016/17 season.
