Some Everton fans have been buzzing as a freshupdate emerged on Rafa Benitez.

As per Football Insider, the Spaniard has been advised to snub the Toffees and instead wait for the job at Newcastle United to become vacant.

Benitez is said to be getting cold feet over accepting the vacancy at Goodison Park due to protests from some of the Merseyside club's supporters.

An industry source has told the news outlet that close allies to the former Premier League coach have advised him to reject the offer made by the Toffees to take over from Carlo Ancelotti.

This has come as a welcome relief to some Blues, given Benitez's past connections with Liverpool, with whom he won the Champions League with  in the 2004/05 season, while he previously called Everton a 'small club' after a Merseyside derby draw in February 2007.
