Lots of Everton fans have been left gushing over some transfer news that emerged on Nathan Patterson.

As per the official website of the Goodison Park faithful, they have now confirmed the signing of the Scotland international from Glasgow Rangers for an undisclosed fee, and he has agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal on Merseyside until June 2027.

The Toffees describe him as 'highly-rated', 'athletic' and with a 'lightning burst of pace', and so he promises to be a player that will get the supporters out of their seats.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has often singled out the young international as a player with huge room to grow.

Of course, it also means that the Blues are now preparing for a future without Seamus Coleman, who is 33 years of age, and being 13 years younger, Patterson is a player with a lot of potential that can now be fulfilled at Goodison.
