Many Everton fans have been left reacting to some transfer news on Allan Saint-Maximin.
As per Calciomercato, the Goodison Park faithful, as well as both Liverpool and Chelsea, are interested in signing the Newcastle United winger in next summer’s window, as he would not be made available in January.
Should Everton sign Saint-Maximin?
He has been a bright spark for the North East club so far this season, with two goals and three assists in six games in total in the Premier League (Transfermarkt), and would certainly give Rafa Benitez’s team an X-factor going forward.
However, while a lot of Toffees supporters would love the Frenchman to come to Merseyside, some do not feel as if he is a realistic target, especially given the reported competition.
Everton fans on Saint-Maximin transfer news
These Blues gave their reaction to the transfer news as it was shared on Twitter, with one EFC fan even going as far as to claim that he is an ‘outstanding’ player:
“Would be a great signing seeing him at Goodison wearing the blue shirt of Everton Football Club. Outstanding player. UTT”
“Nice swap deal with Rondon and Tom Davies”
“Very unlikely to happen. But would be amazing if true”
“I’d love to see him play for Everton, but if he’s ever made available I don’t think we win the bidding war”
“There needs to be a “depends on the price” option as that is my answer to basically every one of these questions. I’d take a 45-year-old Sunday League footballer if they were willing to come on a free, take zero wages, and never see the pitch.”
