Everton are reportedly eyeing a move for Danny Ings in the summer transfer window.
The Lowdown: Ings impressing again
Ings is impressing yet again in the Premier League this season, off the back of the 25 goals that he scored in all competitions in the 2019/20 term (Transfermarkt).
Should Everton sign Ings?
The current campaign has been no different, with a total of 17 goal contributions in 31 games over all competitions so far in 2020/21 (Transfermarkt).
The Latest: Everton eye Ings
Tottenham, Manchester City and West Ham are also interested in the player, who the Saints are willing to sell for around £30m.
The Verdict: Everton must sign Ings
If the Merseysiders have any ambition of climbing up the table next season, they must try their hardest to beat off the competition and sign Ings at all costs.
After all, Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison labelled him a ‘top-four quality’ forward back in August, which is where Carlo Ancelotti’s team will want to eventually aim to finish in the coming years.
The England international is a proven scorer in the Premier League, and at 28 years of age, he is arguably at the peak of his powers. The Toffees should go all-out to try and sign Ings, whatever the cost may end up being.
