Speaking to the outlet, the ex-Toffees man claimed that Zaha is ‘one of the best in Europe’, while former Aston Villa star Dion Dublin described the Ivory Coast international as ‘unplayable’.
Zaha has been linked with Everton
Indeed, Zaha was linked with a move to Goodison Park in the summer transfer window, but a deal never materialised.
Should Everton sign Zaha?
The 27-year old has made a great start to the 2020/21 term for Roy Hodgson’s team so far, scoring no fewer than five goals and supplying one assist in just six games in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).
Is Zaha better than what Everton have?
The question is whether Zaha would slot straight into the first team setup under Carlo Ancelotti or whether his minutes would be limited at Goodison Park.
With James Rodriguez and Richarlison currently occupying the wide positions for the Merseyside club at the moment, it would perhaps be difficult for the winger to break through into the starting XI.
On the other hand, Zaha has averaged more key passes (1.5) per game in the top flight than Richarlison (0.8) so far this season and has also averaged more shots per match (2.5) than Rodriguez (2.3), as per Whoscored, suggesting that he is capable of a starting place at the Toffees.
Can Zaha help Everton reach Europe?
If the Blues want to gain European football in this campaign, then perhaps a move for Zaha in the January transfer window would push them over the line, given how well he has performed so far in England’s highest division.
