Everton: Fans buzz at Fabrizio Romano’s update on Zeki Celik

Lots of Everton fans have been left buzzing at a transfer update from Fabrizio Romano on their club’s possible pursuit of Zeki Celik.
As per a tweet from the Italian football journalist and transfer guru, the Goodison Park faithful were in contact with his agents weeks ago, which could have been done ahead of a potential move for the LOSC Lille ace in the January transfer window.

The Turkey international has put in some very impressive displays in Ligue 1 so far in the 2020/21 term, winning no fewer than an average of five of his duels a game, as well as averaging 3.2 tackles, 1.8 interceptions and 1.5 clearances per match, as he has helped his team keep four clean sheets in the French top flight (Sofascore).

These supporters of the Merseyside club toot to Twitter and lapped up the transfer update from Romano on Celik, with one Toffee even going as far to say that he was ‘buzzing’ when he heard it, whilst another Blue described the 23 year-old right-back as ‘quality’:
