Loads of Everton fans have been hailing a transfer link to Leon Bailey as Ryan Taylor revealed that the Bayer Leverkusen ace is an option for Carlo Ancelotti’s team in the summer window.
However, according to a tweet from the Daily Express journalist, the chances are that either Theo Walcott or Gylfi Sigurdsson need to be sold first of all as they are among the top earners at Goodison Park.
The Toffees may also face competition from Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur, as Spurs have also reportedly been linked with getting his signature over the dotted line.
The Jamaican international would arguably be an upgrade on the current first-team options available to Ancelotti, as he scored more goals and averaged more shots, dribbles and crosses per game in 2019/20 in the Bundesliga than Walcott, Alex Iwobi and Bernard in their respective seasons in the Premier League, as per Whoscored.
Does Bailey start for Everton?
These EFC supporters hailed the news on Twitter, with one Blue even labelling the 23-year old as an ‘exceptional’ player:
Yes. Leon Bailey is an option but chances are Walcott/Sigurdsson need to go first. They’re among top earners.

Could be difficult getting rid of both Walcott and Sigurdsson. They could both run out there contracts. Must admit though that Leon Bailey is an exceptional player.

Put them as part of the deal. Give them the money they want plus the 2 players. They get the money and we lose our shore players. It’s a win win situation.
