Lots of Everton fans have hailed the latest update on the potential transfer of Gabriel Magalhaes to the Merseyside club after L’Equipe (via Sport Witness) reported that Napoli and the Toffees are set to battle it out for the Lille ace’s signature this week.
As per the French outlet, the central defender is set to make his final decision by the end of the week as to who he will join, with the Serie A side looking for a possible replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly and the Toffees wanting to add to the three senior centre-backs in their ranks.

Gabriel is set to leave for €22m, which equates to roughly £19.9m, as he reportedly wants to break into the Brazilian international side.
Comparing the stats of the 22-year old in Ligue 1 in the 2019/20 season to those of Mason Holgate, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in the Premier League so far, Gabriel averaged more blocks and passes and had a higher overall rating (6.93), according to Whoscored.
