Everton: Fans laud link to FC Barcelona ace Emerson; AC Milan also in race

Plenty of Everton fans have been lauding a transfer link to Emerson as Mundo Deportivo have reported that the Merseyside club as well as AC Milan have had bids rejected from FC Barcelona.
According to the outlet, Milan had a bid worth 20 million euros rejected for the Brazilian international, in addition to a second offer of 18 million euros plus Lucas Paqueta going to Real Betis – Emerson was on loan with the La Liga outfit at the time.
The Toffees offered a loan deal with an option to buy for 20 million euros, but the Catalan giants apparently would like him to leave on a permanent basis while receiving a fee of 30 million euros, which is the equivalent of around £26.8 million.
Comparing the stats of Emerson to fellow right-backs Seamus Coleman and Jonjoe Kenny in their respective domestic leagues in the 2019/20 term, the 21-year old averaged more tackles, shots, key passes and through balls per game, as per Whoscored.
Does Emerson start for Everton?
Indeed, he would arguably be an upgrade on what Carlo Ancelotti currently has at his disposal.
These members of the Goodison Park faithful lauded the news on Twitter, with one EFC supporter even branding Emerson as ‘class’:

Would be a quality signing. Could see a loan near end of window

Now that would just top it off big time. Class young player, don’t fancy our chances though. Unless we can magic some sales.
