Plenty of Everton fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news being reported by the Liverpool Echo that the proposed loan move of Beni Baningime to Blackpool has collapsed.
As per the outlet, the Merseyside club and the EFL League One team were close to agreeing a deal for the central midfield player, but any prospective move is now off.
Does Baningime have a future at Everton?
It is not yet clear as to why exactly the loan deal fell through, or indeed if there is any hope that the move can be resurrected, but for now Baningime will stay at Goodison Park.
At just 21 years of age, the DR Congo man still has time to grow and develop in his position, however, with the likes of Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Andre Gomes, Tom Davies, Fabian Delph and Gylfi Sigurdsson in Carlo Ancelotti’s senior squad, perhaps Baningime would struggle for game-time in the first team.
These EFC supporters seemed split on Twitter as to whether the midfielder should be sent out on loan or not in time for the new 2020/21 season. One even suggested that he has “got to be better than Davies” and should be played. Davies has been criticised for his below par displays by Toffees fans in the past.
Can’t sell. Can’t buy. Can’t loan. What a club

Davies should of been offered rather than Benni 🙈

You have to think after seeing last seasons midfield the lad, sadly, just isn’t good enough or ready!
