Plenty of Everton fans have been reacting to the latest update on their pursuit of transfer target Gabriel as Sport Italia (via The Gwladys Street) have reported that the Merseyside club are ready to take action to sign the LOSC Lille ace in the summer window.
However, as per the outlet, SSC Napoli are currently leading the race for his signature, but will need to sell central defender Kalidou Koulibaly first before any deal for him can be processed.

A recent report also stated that there is still faint optimism at Goodison Park that they can win the race for Gabriel, despite interest from Napoli and fellow Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.
However, the Red Devils can offer the Brazilian UEFA Champions League football for the new 2020/21 season, while the Gunners and Napoli are both in the Europa League.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team are not in Europe, which may prove to be a stumbling block for any potential move.
