Everton are at risk of losing out on a permanent deal for Josh King as a transfer insider has claimed to Fotomac that Galatasaray are interested in him.

The former Manchester United man signed until the end of the 2020/21 term from AFC Bournemouth in the January transfer window, but the Goodison Park faithful have not yet decided if they would like to extend his stay, meaning that Galatasaray could now swoop in.

Everton should keep King

The Merseyside club should look to keep King and give him more opportunities to prove his worth from now until the end of the season.

The Norway international has barely featured for Carlo Ancelotti's team so far, but still has a lot that he can offer as a potential long-term back-up striker to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has found himself on the side line with injury in recent games.

King is a goal scorer, having found the back of the net on no fewer than on 80 different occasions in total for both club and country over the course of his senior career (Transfermarkt).

It is not just his ability in front of goal though that he can offer the Toffees, as former Cherries boss described him as a 'handful' back in January, referring to his ability to occupy defenders with his pace and movement.

Nonetheless, it would be a wise move for the Blues to keep the 29-year-old on their books and at least give him a fair chance to show he can be an able deputy to Calvert-Lewin.
