Some Everton fans have been bemoaning a transfer update on James Rodriguez.

As per a report from earlier in the week by Marca, which has since been shared by The Everton End on Twitter, the former Real Madrid star is currently in advanced talks with AC Milan over a potential move in the summer window.

A deal would be worth €10m (£8.6m) plus bonuses, and discussions with the Goodison Park club would be set to take place over the next few days.

Rodriguez was such a key player for the Toffees in the 2020/21 season, scoring six goals and supplying a further nine assists in 26 matches across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Thus, it would not be ideal to see him leave without an adequate replacement being lined up, and some Everton supporters are especially gutted that they were not able to see him play live.
