Some Everton fans have been left buzzing as news emerged involving Lewis Gibson.
As per the Toffees’ official website, the defender has moved to Sheffield Wednesday in League One on loan for the 2021/22 season.
Does Gibson have a future at Everton?
It should be a good experience for the 21-year-old centre-back, who will be hoping to get as much game-time as possible and impress at Hillsborough, with Rafael Benitez likely to be keeping an eye on his performances.
Gibson is yet to play a senior match for his parent club, and with the likes of Ben Godfrey, Mason Holgate, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in the squad, it will be good for the youngster to continue his development elsewhere and hopefully come back to Merseyside stronger.

“Good move that, looking forward to watching how he develops”
“Good move this”
“Indeed looks a player. Will be a good test”
“Exactly what he needed and hopefully help get Wednesday promoted”
“Best place for most the U23’s!! Not good enough for the first team & wasted playing in their own league!!”
“This is an unreal signing, he’s incredible”
