Many Everton fans have been left to fume as a transfer update emerged on Pedro from Calciomercato.

As per the news outlet, the Merseyside club are interested in bringing the former Chelsea and FC Barcelona man to Goodison Park in the summer window, but no formal proposal has yet been made.

There is no doubt that Pedro has had a great footballing career, having won the UEFA Champions League on no fewer than on three separate occasions with Barcelona, as well as winning numerous other domestic titles and the FIFA World Cup with Spain back in 2010 (Transfermarkt).

However, he is 33 years of age now, and so is past his best, and especially with the departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid, the Toffees should be looking at much younger players in order to help take the next manager into a new era.
