Dean Jones has now dropped a big Everton transfer claim involving Armando Broja.

The Lowdown: Summer move

As per TEAMtalk, the Goodison Park outfit have now joined a number of other Premier League clubs in the race to try and sign Broja once his loan spell at Southampton from Chelsea concludes.

Of course, new Toffees manager Frank Lampard has connections at Stamford Bridge from his time both as a player and a coach, so this could be a potential deal worth keeping an eye on at the end of the season.

The Latest: Broja to Everton claim

Speaking to GiveMeSport, transfer insider Jones has claimed that Lampard would try and sign Broja for Everton should he become available in the summer, saying:

"Broja, there's no way Lampard doesn't come into that conversation straight away.

"He knows him, think he gave him his debut.

"If he was genuinely available, Lampard would look in his direction."

The Verdict: Sign

At just 20 years of age, Broja is a player with so much potential, and he has already shown that he can perform at the highest level, with seven goals in all competitions for the Saints so far this season.

Champions League holder and current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is particularly fond of the Albania international, who he thinks is 'unique', 'speedy', 'robust' and a 'goalscorer' (chelseafc.com), so the youngster could well thrive under Lampard's management.

With uncertainty over the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Broja appears to be someone who can come in and hit the ground running at Everton straight away.
