Many Everton fans have been left flocking to some transfer news on Mason Holgate.

As per journalist Pete O'Rourke, AS Monaco and Nice, as well as an unnamed club from the Premier League, are now 'chasing' the central defender on a loan deal in the January transfer window.

The Goodison Park faithful already have a plethora of central defenders in the squad, and so may not miss letting one leave this month in order to get more game time.

If that is the case, Holgate should be the one to go. He was recently slammed by some supporters of the Merseyside club for his poor performance in the 3-2 defeat at home to Brighton and Hove Albion in the top flight, as he completed just 66% of his passes and managed to make only one tackle in the match (WhoScored).

In general, Holgate is ranking poorly among his teammates in terms of average tackles and pass success in the division (WhoScored), and so a loan move for him would suit all parties involved.

"Glad to see him leave just wish it was permanent. Don’t think I’ve ever disliked a player as much as I do Holgate. Maybe his arrogant ego will suit him just fine in Monte Carlo."
