Everton issue ultimatum to star-man as summer exit seems increasingly likely

Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are worried about the business their club will have to complete in the summer transfer window, as Ronald Koeman’s side look set for a major rebuild.

Romelu Lukaku looks increasingly likely to leave Goodison Park and Ross Barkley could follow him, after the England international delayed a decision on a fresh deal to remain with the Merseyside outfit- and Koeman is now getting tough.

The Daily Express states the Dutch manager has become fed-up with waiting for Barkley to decide on his future and has issued a huge ultimatum to the midfield, making it clear he’ll approve a summer sale if a new deal is not signed.

Barkley has been offered a new £100k-a-week deal to remain with the Toffees but a decision from the midfield ace has been delayed, putting Everton in a sticky situation as the England international’s current deal is set to expire next summer.

The double-your-money offer comes amidst growing interest from rival Premier League sides but our landlord believes Everton would receive a huge fee for Barkley’s services this summer, although he adds he doesn’t feel it’s the right time for Barkley to leave.

Will Ross Barkley be an Everton player at the start of next season? Let us know in the comments below!
