Many Everton fans have looked into the potential arrival of Gabriel Magalhaes this summer, whilst also considering a move for Jean-Clair Todibo.
Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti has steadily improved things at Goodison Park since taking over from Marco Silva before the turn of 2020, and the Italian is set to embark on his first summer transfer window in charge.
Having had success with the likes of Real Madrid, AC Milan and Chelsea during his managerial career, Ancelotti will be expected to bring in new faces to put his own stamp on the Everton squad.
One of those players that is seemingly on Ancelotti’s wish list is Brazilian Magalhaes, who has been performing consistently well for French side Lille. The 22-year-old has been at Lille since 2017, having had successful loan spells with Troyes and Dinamo Zagreb.
Representing Brazil at U20 level, the defender has seen his reputation enhanced this term, playing consistently well in the French first division. His potential arrival would hand Ancelotti another superb defensive option to go along with the likes of Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate.
Aside from the reports linking Everton with Gabriel, Jean-Clair Todibo has also emerged as a potential transfer target, having been made available for transfer by La Liga giants Barcelona.
Whilst the Toffees are said to in pole position to sign the Brazilian, the report also claims that the player is waiting to see if interest from the likes of Chelsea, Leicester City and Arsenal develops.
Twitter account @TheRobVera claims that the move for Gabriel is a “goer” and in response, fans have reacted to the potential of him and Todibo joining the club…
Up to this point, the reliable sources would indicate that the Gabriel move is a goer. I’d note that the cancellation of the French season and the PL’s stubborn position in purgatory could complicate things, but this scenario feels “likely” at this stage. #EFC https://t.co/gLhslhi6TL

I suspect Gabriel is almost definitely an Everton player for next season, and that Todibo links are just Barca forcing Schalke or someone else’s hand. But yeah, I think Keane goes and he’ll likely pay for 2/3s if not 3/4 of Gabriel’s fee which is good business

I wonder if with ligue 1 being cancelled will quicken up the gabriel deal now the uncertainty of there league is done with #EFC
