Norwich City ace Ben Godfrey wants to move to Everton before the summer transfer window shuts, according to the Liverpool Echo.
As per the outlet, the central defender is apparently the first-choice target for the Merseyside club, as they are looking to bolster their defensive options in the heart of the defence before the market officially closes.

Carlo Ancelotti is clearly a big fan of Godfrey judging by his comments when asked about him after his team’s rather impressive 4-1 win against fellow Premier League rivals West Ham United in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The Italian boss described the 22-year old as a “really good centre-back” but refused to give away anything else when questioned about the Blues possible interest in signing him.
A move for Godfrey has been discussed by the Toffees’ power-brokers, with the director of football Marcel Brands and head of recruitment Gretar Steinsson both at the ground to watch their team progress to the quarter-finals after knocking out the Hammers.
The Canaries are allegedly likely to demand a fee of around £20 million for the Englishman should EFC come knocking on the door within the next couple of weeks, though recent reports have even suggested £25m may not be enough.
Indeed, despite the relegation of NCFC to the EFL Championship at the end of the last season, Godfrey actually averaged more clearances, blocks and passes than Mason Holgate, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in England’s highest division (via Whoscored).
