The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern don’t seem to be too bothered by these two potential departures out of their club.
According to reports from Sporx, Turkish club Fenerbahce are close to completing a loan move for Everton’s Kevin Mirallas.
The 29-year-old has only played 13 minutes of Premier League football this season following a busy summer from Ronald Koeman has seen plenty of new faces brought into Goodison Park.
Despite the transfer deadline passing last week, Turkey’s deadline day is this Friday and the Turkish giants are reportedly willing to pay a fee for a loan deal with the option to buy come to the end of next season.
That comes after earlier reports from Turkey that reveal Oumar Niasse, another Everton outcast, could also be on his way to Fenerbahce.
The 27-year-old had a deadline day move to fellow Premier League club Crystal Palace fall through.
It is looking more and more likely that both players will be on their way to Turkey in order to play first team football.
The Landlord’s Verdict
Our landlord thinks these two moves would be what is best for everyone.
Mirallas and Niasse clearly aren’t going to be breaking back into the Everton first team anytime soon so any chance to get them off the wage bill should be a chance taken by Koeman.
The landlord does think Mirallas could be missed by Everton but Niasse, having spent last season on-loan at Hull, won’t be missed at all.
