Responding to a Twitter post by in-form striker Richarlison, many Everton supporters have been gushing over the ‘unreal‘ Brazilian’s recent run as their club potentially chase a European qualifying spot for next season.
Since manager Carlo Ancelotti’s appointment in late December after the sacking of previous boss Marco Silva, Everton have lost just one of their last eight games in the Premier League, with striker Richarlison scoring in three of them whilst forming a deadly partnership with fellow front man Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Compared to his English team-mate, Richarlison appears to have a slight edge in terms of every offensive statistic except goals scored, having accumulated superior shots (2.6), key passes (1.1) and dribbles per game averages (1.8) this campaign, as per WhoScored.com.
However, Calvert-Lewin, at least in recent weeks, has managed to find the net more often – scoring six in his last eight outings for the Toffees.
