Everton should consider making a move for these 2 midfielders this summer – Agreed?

The summer is upon the Everton supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern, and they are expecting their club to do plenty of business.

The English window opened 9th June, which means Toffees manager Ronald Koeman has nearly three months to recruit the players he needs for next season’s Premier League.

Their fans have mentioned a few players they want, too, including Swansea City playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson who could be lined up to replace Ross Barkley if he leaves.

Everton sometimes go for ‘underwhelming’ acquisitions, though, and that can disappoint our Blues-mad punters so Koeman needs to go for quality in this window.

We wouldn’t say the club need too many additions in the coming months but that is up to Koeman to decide how much he alters the current crop of players to maximise their potential.

Here are two midfielders Everton should definitely consider making a move for this summer…….Do you agree?

Dusan Tadic

Dusan Tadic has been one of the more reliable midfielders in the top-flight since arriving in this country from the Netherlands three summers ago, putting pen-to-paper on a deal at Southampton.

Making 33 appearances for the Saints last season, the 28 year-old netted on three occasions and provided a further six assists, which is not too bad considering people thought he had fallen out-of-favour with former boss Claude Puel.

Everton fans by the bar think Tadic could really improve their quick passing and creativity – this would really help them compete with some of the bigger teams in the Premier League and break the top-six barrier.

Cheikhou Kouyate

The 27-year-old is perhaps amongst the most solid defensive midfielders in the league and supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have seen that in the three years he’s played for West Ham United.

As versatility comes, Cheikhou Kouyate is ideal as he can play within the back line of defence as well but his preferred position is sitting just in front of the centre-backs, well, that is where he is most effective.

Ronald Koeman does have James McCarthy and Idrissa Gueye, but neither have been consistent in recent months and the Senegal international our landlord suggesting fits the bill perfectly for Everton.

Everton fans: Does your creativity in attack need improving? How about your defensive backline in midfield? Will Koeman get rid of any midfielders this summer? Let us hear your thoughts in the comment section below!
