The Everton fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are wondering who could fill Romelu Lukaku’s boots next season…

With the news that their record goalscorer and last season’s Player of the Year has agreed to join a yet unknown club breaking a few weeks back, there has been a real sense of worry in the pub.

Fans standing by the bar have been in deep conversation regarding potential boot fillers, though they are concerned that Koeman won’t be able to find someone quite as good as Lukaku.

Natural goalscorers like the Belgian don’t come around often and with the added Europa League campaign thrown into the mix, Everton will be keen to widen the search and bolster their attacking options.

Here are two attackers that our landlord says will score goals aplenty in the Premier League and Europe next season…

Kasper Dolberg

The young Danish international is coming off the back of an impressive debut season for Ajax.

A ratio of roughly one goal in two matches has perked up the ears of several clubs in and around Europe.

Whilst still young and relatively unproven, it could be somewhat of a calculated gamble to place the Ajax’s ace at the spearhead of Koeman’s favoured 4-3-3 formation – a formation Dolberg flourished in last season.

The striker’s stock will rise, no doubt. With a current near £12 million valuation, this season could be a perfect time to strike.

Sandro Ramirez

Former Barcelona forward Ramirez only recently moved to Malaga a year ago on a free transfer.

Again with a fantastic strike rate in La Liga, Ramirez would add firepower for the Toffees. Although not exactly proven in Europe, his brief stint in the Champions League with Barcelona (1 goal in 6 apps) will go well with Everton’s Europa League campaign coming up.

Ramirez is used to being in the lone striker role so could again adapt to Koeman’s 4-3-3 and with a current value of around £8.5 million, Ramirez could be a steal.
