Lucas Digne has scored some pretty brilliant goals already during his time at Everton and his strike against Lincoln City definitely goes into that category.
During Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie, the Toffees had found themselves 1-0 down after less than 20 seconds, but when Gylfi Sigurdsson and Digne were stood over a free-kick in the 36th minute there was the feeling something could happen.
It was the Frenchman who stepped up, curling the ball into the top corner with power and incredible accuracy, despite taking a short run-up.
It is doubtful Everton fans will get bored of seeing this strike anytime soon, so the club’s Twitter page decided to post a reminder:

The 26-year-old didn’t stop there though, as he went on to make a delightful assist for Richarlison to complete the game’s scoring, making the score 4-2.
He also made 1 clearance, 1 interception, 3 tackles and won two aerial duels, as well as playing five key passes and completing 88% of all the passes he attempted, as per SofaScore, which gives an indication of how complete his performance was.

Yeah that was good but his move down the sideline and cross for Richies goal – absolute perfection. The guy @LucasDigne is brilliant.

Gets better and better every time I see that. A 2 step run up to generate that much power and accuracy from that distance is unreal
