Many Everton fans have taken to Twitter to slam Dominic Calvert-Lewin over his performance in the Merseyside club’s latest Premier League clash versus Leeds United.
The Toffees took the lead in the ninth minute of this game through Gylfi Sigurdsson and per The Liverpool Echo, Calvert-Lewin had the opportunity to double his side’s lead just a couple of minutes later, however, he was denied by Leeds stopper Illan Meslier.
That would have been Calvert-Lewin’s first Premier League goal since 5th December and it seems like his goalless run was starting to irk some Everton fans, as he’s been receiving plenty of criticism for his performance in this game from Toffees supporters on Twitter.
However, he went on to prove these Toffees fans wrong just before half-time as he did end up scoring the second goal of the game for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
