Everton’s poster boy tipped to be one of the best by PL star

Quoted by ESPNFC, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has tipped team-mate and England international Ross Barkley to be the next leading star for his country, with our resident Toffees fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping he does so.

The midfielder was voted the man of the match against West Ham on Sunday afternoon after he scored, following a Lukaku goal, to round off a decent performance and a 2-0 victory and his Belgian team-mate feels he could be set for bigger things.

“Ross, to me, if he fulfills his potential, you are talking about the best player in English football. He has got everything”, said the Belgian.

”He has got power, he has got technique, he can shoot with both feet. He is fast, he can pick a pass. The manager has been working with him so he makes the right decisions on the pitch.

”Who is going to stop him?”

The Everton man has been taken out of the side at times this season after putting in some below-par displays and manager Ronald Koeman has been quick to ensure he does not complacent.

Many feel that that move could help him realise his full talent and Lukaku seems to be in agreement.

The 22-year-old is currently in competition with Dele Alli and Wayne Rooney for the attacking midfielder role in the England team and hasn’t been included in the two most recent Three Lions squad.

For so long, he’s been a major frustration at Goodison Park, so this is a crucial season in his career.
