Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are informed by The Mirror that their former boss Roberto Mancini is planning a January swoop for the out-of-favour Matija Nastasic.
The Italian tactician is looking to strengthen his Inter Milan side in the New Year and he is searching for a new defender after reports recently suggested Nemanja Vidic is returning to Manchester United.
He will look to bring the 21-year-old in on loan and it is believed that he trusts the Serbian youngster at the heart of his defence after coaching him during his time in charge at the Etihad Stadium.
It is expected that if the loan spell is successful, the Italian giants will look to sign the Serbian defender permanently.
However, Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini may block the transfer because he may want the defender available for the business end of the season.
Manchester City fans. Do you think it is fair to let Nastasic leave on loan or should he stay at the club and be available as back-up option? Let us know your thoughts below.
