Former Everton star Michael Ball insists that the price tag makes no difference when it comes to new signings amid reports of interest in right-back Aurelio Buta.
The 24-year-old currently plays for Royal Antwerp in Belgium, and it seems that the Toffees are in advanced talks over a deal to bring him to Goodison Park.
Journalist Rudy Galetti claims that the fee would come to €4m (£3.4m), a relative bargain in an inflated transfer market.

Indeed, Everton have not committed big fees to players this summer, with their most expensive signing coming in the form of Demarai Gray from Bayer Leverkusen; per Transfermarkt, he cost £1.8m.
They have also signed winger Andros Townsend and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on free transfers.
Ball, though, insists that the club do not have the best record when it comes to spending big money, and believes a price tag should not dictate how good a player can be.
Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, he said: “It doesn’t matter if he’s 3 million or 30 million pounds. Everton have known in the past that double figures doesn’t mean you’re going to be an instant success. Everton have to be cute and clever.”
