Rangers: Fans love latest Castore offering

Glasgow Rangers’ deal with Castore has not gone swimmingly so far but things look to have improved at Ibrox in terms of The Gers fans reactions to the kit manufacturer, which happens to be based in Liverpool, the home city of manager Steven Gerrard.

In all fairness, the first few months in the aftermath of the confirmation of the £25m deal with the Liverpool-based company were positive. In fact, the new home shirt’s pre-sale for the 2020/21 campaign was sold out within 36 hours.

However, since then, there have been a number of issues. Some fans complained of their purchases arriving late, whilst others were far from happy when their shirts were damaged or stolen when they did make it to their eventual destination. This even forced Castore into an apology.

It seems that some supporters have forgiven the kit manufacturer, though. On Friday, the Gers released a new retro shirt, made by Castore, and it appears to have delighted the supporters. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, piling praise on the ‘utterly tremendous’ effort.
