Liverpool: Fans rage at James Pearce’s update on deadline day outgoings

Liverpool are still licking their wounds following their 7-2 loss against Aston Villa on Sunday.

It was one of the most shocking results in Premier League history – the reigning champions beaten by a side that finished in 17th position last term. Of course, the absence of the likes of Sadio Mane and Alisson will not have helped, but that cannot really be an excuse.

With today being deadline day, the Reds have been linked with a move for Paulo Gazzaniga, but there will have been many expecting outgoing moves for the likes of Harry Wilson, Marko Grujic and Xherdan Shaqiri. All three have been linked with moves away from Anfield, but journalist James Pearce has now tweeted that none of that trio are expected to leave the club before the deadline.

This has attracted the attention of the Reds supporters, and they are far from happy with the news – it seems they were eager for them to be moved on. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

What a disaster

If we don’t get them out the transfer window won’t be complete.

But next summer they will be worth less ? I don’t see the point at all get rid and get someone else in

— Adam (@kloppsbeer) October 5, 2020

Typical Lfc, want as much money as possible for players but don’t want to pay the going price to get anyone in, so tight fisted. They are just keeping the players whilst not using them.

What an absolute joke. How can we not sell Wilson and Grujic? Yes they are not good enough for us but they’d walk into mid table teams around Europe. Why do we always have trouble shifting deadwood?
