Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are cautiously optimistic about their chances for the upcoming Championship campaign.
The men from Elland Road should feel optimistic, too, as they have got a real chance to get into the top six at the very least under new manager Thomas Christiansen.
Off the pitch, meanwhile, there’s been great strides made under Andrea Radrizzani and so there is a feel-good factor about the club at the moment.
Lewie Coyle, though, looks unlikely to be a part of things this season, at least, with Phil Hay reporting that he’s set for a loan deal to Fleetwood.
Fans, then, have reacted to this and so here is the best of what has been said:
#lufc right-back Lewie Coyle expected to join Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan today. Trained over there yesterday.

Feel conflicted about this. He’ll have a great season under Rosler and we have 2 RBs already. But seems a shame when he was so close.

Hmmmm… think he has enough to compete for a place already. But certainly didn’t do Taylor any harm, did it? #lufc

good move IMO. Ayling, Berardi as right backs but hopefully a recall option for Lewie if he’s needed?

Who’s our back up at right back then now??

Berardi

Ahh starting on the well trodden path to Burnley. Joking aside a good move for him. Although think he is better than league 1.

Excellent move for both teams. He’d be quality at that level and the pressure of promotion race would be great learning for him.
