Tonight’s game sees Manchester City take on Everton, in what is a key battle for fourth place, fifth against eighth. Both teams won at the weekend, City beating Fulham and Everton winning against Bolton.
For City, a win will see them leapfrog Tottenham and go fourth, although they must do it without the suspended Emmanuel Adebayor and the injured Jolean Lescott. City have the only unbeaten home record in the league, but lost to Everton in the corresponding fixture in January, losing 2-0 at Goodison Park, due to goals from Louis Saha and Steven Pienaar.
For Everton, Victor Anichebe is a doubt after being kicked in the kidneys in the win over Bolton. The Toffees have won four of their last five meetings with Man City, and their last two at Eastlands without conceding a goal.
Prediction: Man City are great at home and I can’t see them losing, but then Everton are also in great form at the moment. I’m going for a score draw: Man City 2 Everton 2.
