Arsenal are always a hot topic of conversation in the Football Transfer Tavern, and after a poor first half of the season, speculation is mounting as to whether Wenger will be allowed to spend in the January transfer window.
If so, it appears a striker is the top priority. Arsenal fans will not need reminding of the fact that Robin van Persie is long gone, indeed scoring for fun at Old Trafford at present, and while summer replacements Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski have shown promise, they haven’t scored enough goals.
An out and out goal scorer is what the Emirates Stadium faithful are crying out for – a ‘fox-in-the-box’ type possibly, although the last time Arsenal looked for that they ended up with Francis Jeffers!
