The Red Devils looked very good, with Jose Mourinho’s side arguably putting in the best performance of the weekend, with Romelu Lukaku earning all the plaudits with a double on his domestic debut for his new season.
The Belgian wasn’t the only former Chelsea player on display against the Hammers, though, with Nemanja Matic also making his Premier League bow for his new club – much to the anger of the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern.
Amongst Chelsea circles, Matic’s sale is viewed as a huge mistake, and his performance against West Ham has only given supporters’ frustration more venom.
Matic put in an incredible performance for his new side, anchoring the midfield fantastically, and that has left supporters feeling very frustrated indeed.
Indeed, Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on the matter – and they certainly aren’t happy with Antonio Conte, Michael Emenalo and company.
Instead, it seems as though the Chelsea brass has a lot of hard work to do before the summer is out if they want to get the fans back on side…
