Forget Dani Alves, Man City should sign 1 of these 2 players instead

Manchester City fans are demanding a strong showing in the transfer market from their side and the club have responded by showing major intent in this summer’s transfer window.

The Portuguese playmaker Bernardo Silva has already arrived through the doors of the Etihad Stadium and he has been joined by Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson as City look to strengthen their side in time for the new season.

Whilst these signings are just a foundation for City’s spending spree, our landlord is not too sure about some of the targets that have been linked with Pep Guardiola’s side in recent weeks.

The main transfer he is unsure about is that of Dani Alves to the Etihad. According to the BBC, Pep Guardiola is keen on a move for the Brazilian.

The Citizens in the Tavern actually have no problem with a player of Alves’ experience joining their club but this has not stopped them debating who their club should sign instead of Alves to fill the vacant right back position, especially considering his age.

The discussion is nearly at an end and our landlord has kindly listed the other two options City would sign instead of Dani Alves.

Check it out here…

Kyle Walker

Our landlord believes that the England international should be City’s main priority and it may well prove disastrous for Guardiola and his men if they do not finalise the transfer of Walker. He brings everything that the Citizens need.

He is homegrown, he is attacking, he is potentially available and he is still a player in his prime.

If Guardiola is looking for a long-term solution, he would seriously struggle to find someone better than Walker.

Serge Aurier

A real quality full back, Aurier is a player that is perfect for Manchester City.

It is believed that Aurier may be open to a transfer away from his current club, Paris St Germain, and with Pep Guardiola looking for a right back, there is no doubt that the 24-year-old would be a quality signing for the Citizens.

Much like Walker, he is the perfect balance of attack and defence and if he is looking to leave PSG, Man City could be the perfect home for him.
