At last, after all that big boy Champions League carry on we are …3-2-1 and …back in the room with some Premiership action and hopefully a few punts whereby Sir Alex won’t be the only one raising a nice glass of red come tea time.
Bet365 are still the pick of the bookies offering a no nonsense ‘match your deposit deal’ of up to £200.

Wolves vs Everton is the early game. Wolves are in all manner of pain and wounded beastlike they are likely to strike out and possibly cause some damage. Wolves form has picked up, but it was so bad this is nothing to crow about. The Toffees away form has been iffy to put it mildly, but if they can reproduce the grit that earned then 3 points at St James’ last week they’ll do well here. Prediction 0-1 to Everton.
Blackburn vs Birmingham
The lower half of the Premiership is made of quicksand. A cursory glance and you think, ‘oh, these two are pretty clear of danger.’ Wrong. They are both three points from bottom losing today could well trigger a nightmare. Blackburn actually make Brum look like the inform side. That’s how desperate these two are playing. Prediction 1-1.
Bolton vs West Ham
The Trotters have just evero slightly been on the wane of late whereas West Ham’s resurgence has only been blighted of late by some bloke called Wayne Rooney. The Hammer will be looking to get back on track. So will Bolton. Prediciton 3-3.

Chelsea vs Wigan
This will be interesting. Chelsea were deeply unlucking to lose to Manchester United mid-week and despite what so many said, Fernando Torres looked much much sharper than he has in months. Wigan’s last game saw them frequently outplay Spurs and they aren’t likely to go down without a fight here. Prediction 4-1.
Manchester United vs Fulham
If Sir Alex has done anything this season then it’s take the Old Trafford seige mentality to a new level. Is this a good thing? Well I don’t know. What I do know is if I was Mark Hughes this morning I’d be wishing I wasn’t. No Rooney but Berbatov is looking assured these days and Utd have goals all over the park. Prediction 3-0.

Sunderland vs West Brom
Not one I’d pay to go and see if I’m honest. Both sides will avoid relegation skirmishes if they are clever, but neither will achieve any more. If Niall Quinn wants less people in pubs watching dodgy live games he needs to get his cheque book out in the summer. Prediction 1-1.
Tottenham vs Stoke
Ah, poor old Tottenham. Riding high on the hog one minute. Having their pants pulled down in front of the whole school the next. Stoke haven’t won away in 6 games. Spurs are less reliable than a stopped clock. Expect White Hart Lane to turn ugly if this isn’t a resounding
home win. Prediction 2-1.
