Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly the latest target for Koeman, according to the Mirror, and it has to be said that this would be an overwhelming acquisition if this transfer went all the way.
Our Everton-supporting landlord was left stunned by the Frenchman’s involvement in 23 goals across all competitions during the 2016/17 campaign and has been the focal point of Arsenal’s front line since arriving five years ago.
However, the 30-year-old has his flaws and that is why the Toffees should set their sights on other targets if they are wanting to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.

Cedric Bakambu
Cedric Bakambu, of similar build to Everton’s talisman Romelu Lakaku, would be an ideal centre-forward to line-up beside or replace the Belgian if he was the depart the club this summer window.
Plying his trade for Spanish side Villarreal, the Toffees-mad bar man is highly respected for the DR Congo international who has been on the radar of several top-flight outfits in recent years.
His 23 league goals in the last two campaigns has certainly caught the attention of the Premier League’s top ten, meaning it would be a regrettable decision to not swoop for Bakambu.
As well as that, his age of 26 years-old allows far more development time than the ageing Olivier Giroud, and potentially for half the price.
