The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are still getting over the surprising news that they may be in for Richarlison this summer window. Indeed, the Watford man has certainly impressed in his first year in the Premier League with the Hornets.

Clearly, United are keen to bring another winger into the team, although it looks as if Anthony Martial may be the one to be moved out to make room for the Brazilian youngster. Still, Richarlison may be a talented option but Mourinho would be silly not to look elsewhere for a better, more long-term addition to the squad.

Many of our punters believe that Richarlison would be another Wilfried Zaha at United and flop like so many have done in the past. The move may be a little early in his career for him and the Red Devils already have a plethora of talent on the left-hand side, which our regulars feel should not be moved on.

Thomas Lemar

Lemar brings the versatility that Mourinho wants at United. Lemar can play on both flanks as well as up front, and the attack-minded Monaco player could be a crowd favourite with his dribbling ability.

Arsenal had a last-ditch attempt to sign the player rebuffed last summer, though interest surely remains from all over the Premier League in the Frenchman. Although Lemar comes with a hefty price tag, Mourinho must surely wheel and deal in order to create the funds needed to push the deal through.

He’d be worth it.

Malcom

The Brazilian wonder-kid is in a similar mould to Lemar, he can play out on the wing and across the front line when needed. With both plying their current trade in the French League, a move to the Premier League shouldn’t be daunting for the 20-year-old.

Bordeaux may be reluctant to sell the Brazilian with him recently extending his contract. Although the big teams around Europe are starting to sniff around, this may be a good a time as any to cash in on the youngster. There’s nothing quite like a Brazilian winger, is there?
