Chelsea fans are rolling their eyes here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they hear the latest news coming from the Daily Star.
Manchester City star Samir Nasri has taken it upon himself to share his thoughts on the Blues and their title hopes and frankly, the former Arsenal man does not think a great deal of them.
This seems an extremely odd claim considering Mourinho’s men are seven points clear at the summit of the Premier League.
The Frenchman claimed: “I’m a big fan of Mourinho, but I am not impressed with his team, not at all.
“We have played them twice, one time with ten men, and we were better than them. Then we played them at the Bridge, and we were better than them.”
As one of our punters notes, Nasri should take a moment to remember that the Blues did the league double over them last term and still saw City lift the title so in reality, that does not mean an awful lot.
What does however is the fact that his side have dropped points at the Etihad Stadium to teams like Burnley and Hull City whilst Chelsea have only let two points slide from their grasp at Stamford Bridge all season.
Nasri also claimed that the Blues were just ‘strong with a good forward’ but again, that seems strange to our regulars given they have faced a fair chunk of the season without Diego Costa, who has been injured and suspended on more than one occasion.
This is not to mention having the likes of Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas to aid the creative flow.
