Our Sunderland fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their club is going to start signing players now that they have a manager in place.
The Black Cats have had a typically tumultuous time of things this summer with David Moyes going, a takeover failing and players like Jermain Defoe leaving the club.
For sure, then, they need to start from scratch and the hope is that Simon Grayson will be able to do that ahead of the new campaign.
Who he brings in, then, remains to be seen but Seb Larsson will not be a part of things with him leaving the club – as per James Hunter on Twitter.
Fans, then, have reacted to this and so here is the best of what has been said about the midfielder moving on from Wearside:
Seb Larsson is leaving #safc after six years.

I think it’s the right time to move on from him. We’ve enough CM, free up his wage for elsewhere

Another one who in all honesty should have been peddled a few year back. It’s a chance for the club to start again. Good luck seb

Sad to see Seb leave. He was good for us early into his Sunderland career and waned in the 2nd half

He’s been a great servant to the club. I wish him nothing but the best for the future.
