The Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are not having a good time at the moment…
The Eagles have suffered through a terrible start to the Premier League season, with Frank De Boer’s side yet to pick up a single point in the Premier League.
Their upcoming clash with Swansea City, then, is surely a must win game for the club – as they look to avoid getting involved in a relegation battle.
Unfortunately, though, they’ve suffered some bad news ahead of the game, with manager Frank De Boer confirming that on-loan Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set to miss the game through injury.

Injuries are certainly not what Crystal Palace need right now, particularly to a player that has been so important this season. Despite Palace’s poor form, Loftus-Cheek has been a real shining light – delivering a couple of fantastic performances in the Premier League.
The Eagles in the Transfer Tavern are just hoping this is a minor injury and won’t see him miss more than a week.
Landlord’s Verdict
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has only been at Selhurst Park for a short while, but he has settled in very well indeed.
He has really impressed with his passing and powerful running with the ball at his feet, and he’ll be a big miss for Palace.
