A succesful season last season saw Liverpool reach the Champions League final, Jurgen Klopp will be plotting going one further next season and bringing silverware to Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp is not a manager adverse to giving young players a chance. Last season, Trent Alexander-Arnold played a crucial role in both Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League campaigns. The wing back is aged just 19, but he was deemed ready by the German manager for first team football.
Liverpool have added lots of names to their side for the upcoming season. Fabinho and Naby Keita are both big money signings, and the club have also strengthened their squad with the likes of Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri.
However, spending might not be the only way for Klopp to improve his side. As he proved with Alexander-Arnold last season, bringing through an academy prospect can be just as rewarding as a big money signing. It is a balance between signings and youth products which gives a side a good team spirit and belief.

The goal scoring record the front man has in the England youth set ups is very promising. The London born player netted 20 times in 22 appearances for England’s under 17’s.
A truly calm finisher, he has a better chance of being the next Michael Owen than the next Dominic Solanke. Liverpool fans would be excited to see Brewster in Klopp’s starting eleven plans next season.
The second Welshman in our list, Woodburn also has a Wales senior goal to his name.
According to Transfermarkt, the player is worth £4.5m.
He captained the Liverpool under-19 side in the UEFA Youth League.
His achievements are extraordinary for a player aged 18. There is no time like the present to give the player a run of games in the first team, even if that is in the FA Cup or League Cup.
