The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left annoyed by a report from Paris United, via Get French Football, that Spurs target Anthony Martial is in advanced talks over a move to Juventus.

Things looked set for Manchester United and Tottenham to do business with their wantaway stars, Toby Alderweireld and Anthony Martial. Spurs want Martial, United want Alderweireld and both players want to leave their current clubs. However, both clubs have a reluctance to sell players to a direct rival and that could see the move fall through. This now looks more likely than ever as Martial is apparently deep in talks with Italian champions, Juventus.
Anthony Martial would have been a superb coup for Mauricio Pochettino and co. The Frenchman has proven time and time again that when given game time and space to run into, he’s dangerous. Alongside the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, Martial would have been deadly. Unfortunately, the stubbornness of both Daniel Levy and Ed Woodward will make this a move that can never happen and Spurs fans will have to look to other options to bolster their wide attacking force.

As you can see, there’s clear annoyance from this group of Spurs fans as they would have loved to see Martial tearing down the wing at their new stadium.
