Liverpool managed to overcome a big challenge at Craven Cottage yesterday in a tight encounter that had supporters on the edge of their seats. The Reds managed to move back to the top of the Premier League table with Manchester City featuring in the FA Cup.
Jurgen Klopp has managed to get the very best out of his side at times in the current campaign but things haven’t exactly gone perfectly recently, with the Reds’ front three struggling a little.
Although, Liverpool now have time to reflect on things with the international break almost upon us, with the likes of Spurs, Southampton, FC Porto and Chelsea to come once the players return.
Interestingly, it appears as if Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville fancies Liverpool’s chances from here on in, as he stated when the Reds could step clear of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City while speaking on the Gary Neville Podcast (via Sky Sports).
Liverpool don’t exactly have an easy run of games after the international break so anything can happen up until Manchester City face off against Manchester United.
But, one thing that is certain is the fact that Liverpool supporters will see Manchester City’s busy period and clash with the Red Devils as a potential opening, with points likely to be dropped.
