Glasgow Rangers: Fans go wild over Bongani Zungu footage

Plenty of Glasgow Rangers fans have been raving about transfer target Bongani Zungu after seeing compilation footage of the midfielder on social media.

Journalist Joe Crann shared a highlights reel of the 27-year-old on his Twitter profile @YesWeCrann which features the South Africa international in action for current club Amiens, with whom the ‘Gers have reportedly agreed a deal worth £3.6m, according to The Scottish Sun.

Earlier this week, Crann reported for The Scotsman that the Ibrox club have been given permission to commence talks with Zungu over personal terms for a potential move to Glasgow.

The South African played 24 times for Amiens last season, netting one goal, while his statistics mark him out as a combative defensive midfielder who is also comfortable on the ball, with match averages of 1.3 successful tackles, one successful aerial duel, 0.8 interceptions and 1.4 accurate long balls, along with a passing success rate of 79.9% (as per WhoScored).
